The Antarès Ergonomic Fitting Adjustable Half Pad with Shims is designed to improve saddle fit and comfort, especially for sensitive-backed horses. The wither-free calfskin design hugs the horse’s shape without putting pressure on the withers, while the topstitched natural wool top is extremely hard-wearing, tear-resistant, and helps protect your saddle from sweat.

Underneath, a 3D mesh layer sits on the saddle pad and flexes with the horse’s movement and back shape. This structure makes the pad exceptionally lightweight, helps absorb shock, reduces pressure points, and improves airflow along the horse’s back.

Unlike standard half pads, the Adjust Pad has built-in pockets for corrective shims. It comes with a set of 4 shims (2 front, 2 rear) that can be stacked to correct balance and compensate for irregularities, muscle loss, or asymmetry in the shoulders or back. Once inserted, the shims stay firmly in place to keep the saddle fitting snugly to the horse’s back.
