The Myler Flat Shank Bit with Low Medium Wide Port MB 05 and Copper Roller is a Level 3 Western bit designed for riders seeking moderate leverage with a high degree of tongue relief.

The MB 05 is one of the mildest Myler mouthpieces in terms of tongue pressure. Its generously wide 1 ¼" low port allows room for the horse’s tongue to pass under the bit while applying little to no palate pressure. Unlike a solid mouthpiece, the MB 05 collapses slightly, giving the bit more give while still working primarily off the lips and bars with only light tongue pressure.

The copper roller encourages relaxation and responsiveness, while the mouthpiece design is best suited for horses with a trustworthy, consistent disposition that are trained to respond to the rider’s leg, seat, and hands.

The 7" stainless steel flat shank is slightly curved back toward the horse and features a flat-top purchase with a rein ring. Its patented Independent Swivel Cheek allows the purchase, mouthpiece, and shank to move independently for improved comfort and communication. Designed for indirect curb rein action, this bit should be used with a curb strap attached to the purchase.
