The Myler Stainless Steel 7" Flat Shank Bit with MB 43MP Narrow Medium Ported Barrel is a Level 2-3 Western bit designed to provide moderate leverage, tongue relief, and refined communication.

The MB 43MP mouthpiece sits solidly across the bars and lips of the horse’s mouth rather than rotating onto the tongue. Its 1 ½" narrow medium port offers room for the tongue to pass under the bit while applying only slight pressure to the outside edges of the tongue when the reins are engaged. This makes it the mildest of the Myler Level 2-3 mouthpieces in terms of tongue pressure, just one step below a Level 3 mouthpiece.

Made with a Sweet Iron mouthpiece, this bit naturally oxidizes to encourage salivation and acceptance. The curved mouthpiece helps prevent pinching of the lips and bars, while the copper inlay supports a more responsive feel.

The 7" stainless steel flat shank is slightly curved back toward the horse and features a flat-top purchase with a rein ring. The patented Independent Swivel Cheek allows the purchase, mouthpiece, and shank to move independently, helping improve comfort and communication. Designed for indirect curb rein action, this bit should be used with a curb strap attached to the purchase.
