The Myler Stainless Steel 5 1/2" MBT Shank Bit with MB 43MP Narrow Medium Ported Barrel is a Level 2-3 Western bit designed to provide mild leverage, tongue relief, and refined communication.

The MB 43MP mouthpiece sits solidly across the bars and lips of the horse’s mouth rather than rotating onto the tongue. Its 1 ½" narrow medium port offers room for the tongue to pass under the bit while applying slight pressure to the outside edges of the tongue when the reins are engaged. This creates a gentle reminder rather than a strong correction.

As the mildest of the Myler Level 2-3 mouthpieces in terms of tongue pressure, the MB 43MP is just one step below a Level 3 mouthpiece. The Sweet Iron mouthpiece naturally oxidizes to encourage salivation, while the curved design helps prevent pinching of the lips and bars. Copper inlay adds responsiveness and acceptance.

The stainless steel MBT shank is curved slightly back toward the horse and features a teardrop purchase, rein ring, decorative stack, and stainless steel dot accents. The patented Independent Swivel Cheek allows the purchase, mouthpiece, and shank to move independently for improved comfort and communication. Designed for indirect curb rein action, this bit should be used with a curb strap attached to the purchase.
